This is what it's all about ladies and gentlemen. Tech + Cool Design = Win. The math doesn't lie. They had me with the three fans. I'm a sucker for GPU cooling. The backplate is cool too.

Is it just me or have GPU vendors lately had the mindset of bigger=better for coolers? Instead of slapping a huge piece of cheap aluminium with a couple of heatpipes on that $500+ GPU, how about actually putting an efficiently designed cooler on there? Is that too much to ask for a flagship card? I'm sure there are plenty of two-slot designs that could cool much better than this monstrosity for about the same price as this cooler(or slightly more expensive but justifiably so), so why not use one of those? At this rate, we'll start seeing four- and five-slot coolers so you'll buy that high-end graphics card for $500+ and be stuck with a single GPU setup...

The only thing more amazing than the sheer size of this thing is that all reviewers are saying it's quiet. It looks like it would make about as much ambient noise as a 10,000 BTU air conditioner. But quiet works for me. It's been a focus for years. I won't live with screaming fans I don't know that I need quite this much video horse power since I'm into graphics... video editing etc. not games. Still...hard-core gamers establish the "bleeding-Edge" of this technology for us all.
