Possible PSU Issue?

I just bought a Corsair AX760 PSU for my computer. The system runs good but ive been experiencing a strange issue and i think it could be PSU related. My primary monitor (i have 2 monitors) will randomly lose signal, just for a second then it will come back. This repeats itself 3 or 4 times right after one another. In addition when im charging my phone with the computer it does a similar thing. It will be charging fine then randomly it will stop charging then starts, then stops...and so on. Very similar to the way the monitor loses signal. This never happened before i installed this PSU which leads me to believe that its the problem, or is it another issue i have and its just a coincidence that its started after i installed the new PSU?

Thanks for the help!

Reseat everything, check for dropped screws and the correct number of standoffs.
If you doubt the PSU and it is new, take it back.

Do any of the fans stop?

Got any power saving stuff turned on through windows?

Also check your BIOS for any bizarre power saving features, including USB charging. Most BIOSes have USB charging related settings.

Asus Motherboard?

Turn of the Asus surge protection in the BIOS, it seems to be very touchy.
I will add it may be a voltage regulation issue with the PSU, it wouldn't hurt to check output.

Why did you just buy this new Corsair? Can you swap the old one, or another spare in for a test?

It does not seem likely the PSU would cause one monitor to blink out and not the other - assuming they are both connected to the same graphics solution.

I agree ASUS Surge Protection has caused a lot of problems for many people and it would be worth disabling it to see what happens.

I dont have any power saving stuff enabled, ive doubled checked :)

I got the new PSU because im getting a new graphics card and needed more power. I still have the old one which works fine, never had any issues with it. Ive disabled the surge protection, ill test that out and if the problem persists ill swap the PSU and go back to the old one and see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks everyone, ill update you when i find something

Thanks, keep us in the loop.

No luck, happened twice to me already tonight. I'm switching the power supply back to the old (but good) one. Unless anyone else has some more suggestions.
Thanks
*sigh* swapped back to the old PSU...15 mins later monitor is switching on and off...Seems the PSU is not the issue after all. Could be a good or bad sign ... Ill play around with some other stuff. HDMI, Graphics Card, Could be the monitor itself. If i find anything ill post it but otherwise thanks for all the help :lovetpu:

so the monitor is? although that doesnt explain the usb... but you do have multiple usb ports & cables to try

EDIT: i have used an open box samsung PLS monitor that loses signal whenever there is 'too much on screen', yes seriously... a single color was fine, but lots of text & windows was not

It doesn't explain the USB but that was the lesser of the 2 issues. I'm going to leave the old PSU in for now...see if it fixes the charging problem. I'll try other ports, cords, etc...

While I'm posting the problems seems to have gotten worse. The monitor is going crazy...it looks like the issue is the monitor. I unplugged the HDMI and its was still flashing like mad. Almost as if I was unplugging and plugging a cable in. I have no clue at this point. BTW it's a 32" Samsung Smart TV. I've had it a couple years and it's been great so far. I'll keep investigating.

Thank again :)

It seems like a gpu problem. Have you configured display parameters correctly, does your gpu(Nvidia or AMD) recognize your TV or monitor as Samsung Smart TV?

Looks like it is not the GPU.

Try another HDMI or whatever type of cable you have the display connected with.

Did you try removing CMOS battery from the motherboard and load default settings and see if issue persists.
