I'm currently benching my rig with OCCT and while checking the graphs, I noticed unstable voltages + I also think my 12V is too low. I have a Antec TP2.0 380W bought a couple of months ago. The 12V line has always ran around 11.92 - 11.98 with occasional bursts at 12.03. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Here are the graphs from OCCT:

The core is perfectly stable @ 1.5 with a 0.1 drop

The best way to measure your voltage is with a good (accurate) meter. Utilities are not as accurate and voltage spikes may not accurately reflect PSU output. I was thinking the same thing about my PSU until I used a calibrated multimeter and found that I had nothing to worry about. I also want to point out that although the voltage spikes or variations may look large on the graph when you look at the actual numbers they aren’t changing much. The largest change on the 3.3 volt rail according to the graph is only .025 milivolts and .025 on the 5.5. You create more static electricity walking to the computer. You didn’t state you are having any problems so if not then don’t worry. BTW if you think your voltage should be higher than required read this thread: http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=7209 Made me rethink some things about overvolting.

Geez! I guess you're right. I'm voltmodding my gpu right now and had my trusty meter with me and checked: 12.08v and 5.10v. I feel like a dumbass right now for not cehcking before:eek: . And yes, I'm not having any problems for the moment but further benching will confirm that. I'm eager to see how fast it will go.

Thanks for tip and reminding me that no sleep = extreme paranoia!

No problem, let us know how high you get that X850 and how your temps do.

I was out of town since Wednesday so sorry it took so long.

The voltmod on my x850 pro went great with the tutorial. Max stable oc at 560c/560m at 55° load. Before I could only get it to xt speeds, so I guess it's not too bad. Not the best oc'er but still, not too shabby for 229$ CAD.

The temps of the prescott at 3.6 are 41° idle 49° load. With stock cooling it's made to run around 45°-50° idle (at 3.0 of course). I'm guessing that if the ram follows, I can probably run it at 3.8, maybe push it to 4.0. The Asus starice is a great cooler. It looks like 747 engine and sure sounds like it at full speed (4800 rpm)! I run it at 2700rpm and can barely hear it. For the moment I'm pretty satisfied of the results i'm getting. I'm reinstalling Sandra 2005 tonight and will bench some more.:rockout:

EDIT: Got the x850pro stable at 560/580 with a little more voltage. 58°max... I think that's all it can take if I want it to last a while.
