Price Check on Devils Canyon 4790K bundle...

Apologies if this is not the correct place for this type of thread.
Looking for a price check as I am thinking of selling some top shelf kit as a bundle only.

Asus Maximus Hero Vll motherboard.
Intel Core i7-4790K Devils Canyon cpu. 4.6ghz guaranteed and already set in motherboard UEFI.
16Gb G-Skill Trident X DDR3 ram 2400 (4x4gbsticks).

All components are in perfect working condition. I still have the original motherboard box and all items were purchased in 2015 apart from 2 extra sticks of matching ram in 2016.

Price in USD would be most appreciated.

i know your looking for a price , but since you got it already, im going to offer an alternate opinion.....that list of HW is worth more to You (assuming it is installed & running in a PC currently) than it will be in $ form. My 10 cents is ...Keep it, if what your looking to do is upgrade of course, if your selling it to get some $ and Not buy a new PC, thats a different matter.

With Ryzen coming out tomorrow, who knows. It all depends on how many people are doing the same thing as you are and on Ryzen's performance.

I'm certainly not sure that the newest Intel would even be an "upgrade."

The 4790's are an amazing chip and will run anything out there with the proper ram and video card!!!!! I feel you throwing good money after bad. It will pretty much be an even trade off honestly.

Thanks, I'm upgrading to Ryzen as I do a lot of video editing on my main pc and the extra cores will be an advantage.

Purchased Ryzen 1700 to help with my video rendering and will shortly advertise my bundle in the correct section at $400. Thanks for your advice. Not sure why Wizzard does not have a Ryzen review up yet! Waiting for the dust to settle I suppose.

Well seeings how you can get an I7-6700k (the next closest chip after the 4790k) for about $225 or so now, your 4790k is probably worth around $125 if sold separately, so getting $400 for the bundle would be a stretch IMO....unless of course you just happen to run into someone who REALLY wants that particular bundle as is.....

However, it IS still a very capable cpu and will easily handle all but the most extreme tasks no problem, especially when cooled properly and paired with a mid-to-upper tier GPU and PSU
