A little hint for those who haven't tried it yet:

such a memory card is pre-formatted (exFat) and was not recognised in my usb adapter either by the OS or by a partitioning program such as AOMEI and could be formatted.

I went to the electronics shop and asked a lenovo promoter if I could use his laptop with the cards delivered adapter with the companys retail demo running on that laptop. PC was not recognised in a running program.

Quick formatting to NTFS format went without a hitch.

I never had any problems with this little thingy from TRANSCEND, read and write ANY memory card on any computer with a USB 3.1 connection.
The best i ever had here hands down! Super fast, thanks to the USB3.1 connection instead of USB2.0.
