I recently got this card but havent tried to overclock it until now. I'm new to ATI cards so i decided to try using ATI Tray Tools to overclock. CCC sucks for overclocking as it wont allow me to go past 790Mhz on the core so thats why i had to use the other program. My card is factory overclocked edition (780/900), btw. Anyway, i installed ATI Tray Tools 1.6 and went to the overclocking section and started off with a small 5Mhz bump bringing the core to 785Mhz, then created a profile for that overclock and checked the load profile at startup box. Everything was fine until i rebooted, after that the card lost the overclock and went back to 780/900, actually it went to 500/900 2D power-saving mode, but when i tried to simulate load it still stays at 780/900. So the question is, am i doing something wrong or this thing just doesnt work?

Well, it looks like i'm not able to overclock the core at all, even by using ATI's own CCC. I tried doing the same thing there as i did with ATI Tray Tools, just bumped the core by 5Mhz to 785. This time, however, GPU-z didnt even register the overclock. i tried enabling or disabling ATI overdrive, it had no effect. Tried using the older GPU-z version 0.3.0, still nothing. I'm gonna try to overclock the memory, may be that will work?

Edit: nothing seems to work. I even tried Auto-Tune in CCC, it clocked my memory all the way to 1010, though core stayed at 780, but still GPU-z wont detect the overclock. I'm starting to think i have a bad card.

Edit 2: Issue resolved. It was ATI Tray Tools messing me up as i tried to up the core voltage. It was one of the betas. Now using another version and things are ok. Had to reinstall Cat 8.10 though.
