How to on Windows 7 roll back or uninstall directX to its previous state like when os is installed.
Installed Fallout: New Vegas and game installed some DirectX components with it. Now all games have reduced view distance of the world to the half and more, and some games like BF Bad Company 2 and Medal of Honor have objects appearing only when realy close to them. It was not like that before i installed that DirectX from Fallout: New Vegas.

Easiest way, do a system restore. It should work. Or search for some dx removers. I had to use one a while ago on a clients machine. Don't remember the exact name though.

System restore is disabled. Already searching dx remover in google, problem is that not all of them work with win7.

System restore is disabled.

Ouch, in these circumstances we see how much it is valuable (funnily enough, that's why I had to use a gram to do it, since the guy disabled it) lol. Anyways, when I'm home I might browse my cd's and get you the exact name. Can't google too much on my phone, it is a pita.

Still though, try to re install it from another source, it might overwrite bad files (if ever they are)

Maybe easiest way is to reinstall os, 5 minutes and problem fixed.

i dont use system restore and never used it, it is just a waste of system resources. I always fix problems myself on winXP, i just started to use win7 month ago and i not familiar with it so good.

Stupid me. Everything is fine. After defective hdd, i became paranoid, i am looking for things that are not there. Installed same games on brothers computer, works exactly like on my computer and he has old video drivers and never installed any directx included with games.

Thanks and sorry for wasting your time.
