Problems with XFX RX 580

I purchased this XFX RX 580 from eBay a while back and although it wasn't giving me any issues I realized that the temps were high. Was getting anywhere between 83 to 89 degrees and decided to take it apart and do some maintenance and that's when things went downhill. In removing the fan header one of the pins came out which I soldered back. Luckily I had a soldering iron on hand. I then cleaned out the fans, thermal paste, heatsink, replaced the thermal pads with these pads I got from Amazon.(100 x 100 x 1.5mm 6w/m.k by AI AIKENUO) and some Artic MX-4 thermal paste. After putting it back together I can no longer play any games. When I launch a game when it get's to the menu or loading screen when the temps rise just a bit then the screen locks up and the fans go full speed. I've attached various images for better reference including the bios I flashed it too which is now giving me this issue. Both the primary and secondary have the same bios. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm a little confused...
The problem started after the maintenance by you or after flashing BIOS?

And I see you have it overclocked? Did you try to run on default 1366MHz?

The problem started after the maintenance and got worse after flashing the bios. To your second question no I haven't tried running on default clock. Don't recall doing an overclock. Must have been one of the bios I flashed earlier. This has gone on for about 3 weeks. Games would work for about 30 to 50 minutes and the pc would lockup with the fans spinning at top speed. I just took apart the GPU and noticed I did the dumbest thing ever by not installing the thermal pads on the vrm memory phase and by the looks of it I may have damaged something as a result.:ohwell: I've attached a picture of what I did. I installed it on the mosfet instead.

Here is what I've done so far.
* I've reinstalled the thermal pad on the memory phase
* I've reset the GPU settings back to default as you suggested
* I've also flashed the secondary bios with this one. XFX.RX580.8192.190820.rom

When I load up a game like Crash Bandicoot it plays no problem but when I just tried to load up Assassin's Creed Odyssey or Mafia III the screen went blank and the fans were spinning full speed.
