I normally leave my computer running almost 24/7 at my house even when I am not using it. I leave it on overnight and use that time to download files but that only uses my bandwidth. I'd like to find other productive things to do while I am away from my computer.

What are things that you guys do (TPU) with your computers while you are away from them other than downloading large files? (keep in mind that I have the amd 6 core processor so I'd like to maximize that power)

Thanks :)

FOLDING !

Crunch or fold my friend. Links are in above post. It's for a great cause and it'll make you feel a whole lot better about yourself :) IF you need any details on either or let me know :toast: Just shoot me a PM.

CRunCH CRunCH CRunch..............CRunCH CRunCH CRunch..............CRunCH CRunCH CRunch.:D

i just leave it idle with an auto power savings tool which automatically lowers voltage..etc to save on electric bill. Folding makes my wallet unhappy.

Depends on your economic state. I mean if you are really tight then of course every little bit of money you can save counts. But if you are ok then it's no big deal. My i7, Phenom Quad and 5770 only pull an additional $25 a month or so.

obviously. though some care about their carbon footprint as well. neither really apply to me, i just prefer to spend that $25 on something else besides folding

Well use it as a door stop or a paper weight then .

I think possibly saving a live or two is worth not $25, not $50, not $100 well you can tell the trend. All worth it to me bro.

my cpus idle time gets spent brute forcing the neighbors wpa key.

why you ask? cos i can
