Hey,
Just wondering has anyone successfully got their ps3 controller working on their pc, who could help me set mine up.

I've been searching the net trying to get it working, so i can play l4d split screen on my pc. (I have a dual monitor setup so 1 4 each player if i get it working)
(1 controller other keyboard n mouse)

here is a link for the commands to get l4d configuration.

and here is also another link where i got my ps3 config file from.

The main difference I noticed was that I only have 12 buttons working. Where as they have all 17.

If anyone knows a thing or two about working the ps3 controller on a computer (windows xp 32bit). Could you please provide some general info on how to get my the rest of my buttons working or any info regarding l4d split screen would be good.
thanks

i didn't even know you could use a ps3 joystick on pc

yea, I made my ps3 controller work... when I get back home, if I remember, i'll send you the driver :p

not just saying this because i own an xbox 360 dont want to coem across as a fanboy but the 360 pad is setup for most games has perfect drivers too

the ps3 pad im assuming has non first party drivers meaning the community made up drivers of their own, sony i dont think have proper pc drivers for the ps3 controllers

anyway do you sue usb or bluetooth

why use a controller for a FPS anyway???

the drivers are as good for the ps3 as for xbox 360... you can use bluetooth (I did b4) but with different drivers... if you want them btw... i'll search for you, just tell me...

and if you already have a ps3 and not a 360, why not use a ps3 controller for some games?

also, if he has many ps3 controllers and that he wants to play with controllers with his friends, its a great alternative... btw many ppl prefer the ps3 controller (not me but I wouldn't even spend 10$ more to get 360 controller)

also, you can, with other drivers, get it to work with bluetooth (which I have on my comp)

maybe its not a fps he's playing? if it is... its not over internet, its on a split screen, so everyone has the same difficulties, and you don't need 4 comps :p

The Xbox controller sucks bigtime imo. The nr1 reason why i never bought a Xbox.:)

now now... every has his opinions... BUT! I must admit that the xbox controller is better than the ps3's... though IMO ps3>>>>>>>360 :) n1 reason I went with ps3 and give away my xbox 1 to my friend :p

P.S: only bad thing about xbox 360 controller is on top... the triggers in ps3's controller are much better than then the 360's...

thanks n-ster,
the reason why i wanna get a controller working is so i can play l4d split screen on my computer.
As there is only 2 computers in my house that can play l4d having split screen with another player is pretty awesome imo.

i have 2 monitors so it doesn't affect the resolution too much and it I got it all working.

You said you had 2 monitors, that means each player gets a full screen??? :O that's awesome!
