So i recently bought a ps5 controller which works great, but i also bought a ps4 controller too. I wanted to try both but for some reason even through ds4 it will only work through blue tooth but will charge on the cord i have it plugged into. What should I do? Could it be defective

Ok this made no sense, the wireless controllers use usb for charging only, their feedback is through BT(RF)

My PS5 dual sense is currently hooked up to my PC with my phone charging USB cable, working flawlessly. Need to get hold of a BT thing at some point though as it would be nice to go wireless with it.

Make sure the usb cable is able to send data aswell as charge things up as not all cables are not made equal.

Yup not all usb cables are data, some are charge cables (cheap) others are data (pricier)
