From the 418.91 release notes:
"Windows 7 Issues
I can attest to this as I made the mistake of upgrading to this driver version without reading the release notes, the result was that something as simple as watching a YouTube video arbitrarily triggered a TDR (aka "display driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered"). After downgrading to 418.81 the TDRs persisted, but with 416.94 all seems okay again (I didn't bother with 417 as I was previously on 416.94 which worked fine).
Anyone else had similar experiences?
Seems there is a known issue with Win7 and 481 series: "It does appear that a pretty wide spread issue specific to Windows 7 has made it into the driver, and all pascal cards are affected." https://forums.geforce.com/default/...81-mainly-on-windows-7-/post/5981225/#5981225
but, some good news: "The issue is fixed internally, just waiting on the release of the driver." https://forums.geforce.com/default/...81-mainly-on-windows-7-/post/5989748/#5989748
