Ok guys heres my situation. Im looking to either Upgrade from my Mobo to maybe a Quadcore bundle. Heres my current specs:

Asus A8n32-SLI MOBO
AMD dualcore 2.2ghz (socket 939)
2GB Corsair DDR400 (184pin)
XFX 9800GX2 1gb

Im trying to decide wether to get my 9800GX2 in sli, but ive heard that I need a Quad core MOBO to do this. So im geussing my MOBO wouldn't do it?
The reason is im the type of gamer that likes to take full advantage of my games. For example i want full setting on FC2 and Burnout Paradise with the extra effects. I have FC2 on quite high settings, but any AA causes slowdown on FPS.

Can any one seek me some good advice please. If i have to upgrade to quadcore, il only buy bundles. Price around £300 - £400 ($430-530)

Thanks

Yeah, if you SLI 9800GX2's it will crap out, because your CPU isn't isn't fast enough, and you don't have enough memory.

My advice is to buy at least a Q6600, get a 750i motherboard, and a 4BG DDR2-1066 memory kit.

I thought i migh need to, what speed shall i choose for Q6600? 2.6 or does it have to be above 3.0?

Il see if i can find a bundle on ebay or something as im on a budget. Il probably sell my current gear except my GFX of course lol!

Well, look around your popular UK sights for hardware. I think you can really find all that within your price range.

But for CPU speed. You can use it at 2.6 but it might still be not enough to run the GX2's. So OC as far as you can to see what you get, that would be really helpful. :toast:
