I wish I had a q6600 and a P45 board :(

Thats a nice chip you have there ;)

Might as well push it to 400x9 for an even 3.6GHz ;)

That's a really high voltage for the clock speed actually. You should be able to reach it in the 1.2* range. 3GHz is usually doable in the 1.1* range.

Hey there buddy, nice clock. Seems like you have yourself a great little chip :)

Awesome :)

My Q6600 can run at 1.312v (idle) on my P5E :D

Lucky son of a....... My Q6600 has a vid of 1.3175, takes 1.36 (windows) to do 3.2:shadedshu

Ive dropped it down 1.3125 to see if it makes through the night running my SETI. I know its not PRIME, but this box is my gamer/SETI box so if it can survive SETI, it's as good as stable for me.

Yes, it did 3.0 at 1.175v

1.3125 was no good ... back up to 1.3175. SETI crashed after about two hours. Im still quite happy.

Takes me close to 1.35 to hit the 3.6 mark, very nice!

Your next challenge? lowest voltage possible on stock clocks ;) im at 1.2V, one guy got his as low as a shade over a volt!

I run 3.6ghz at 1.336v on my Q6600 on a Maximus Formula X38.

^ and had you been in england i would have snapped your bloody hand off for it

Stock (6x389) works 1.1175v just fine ... ran C1E and SpeedStep on, and it dropped down to that.

BAH LUCKY bastards >< My q6600 G0 has the highest VID :( .... 1.3250 ... wish it was lesser, would be able to clock like a king lol.

i wish my q6600 would do over 100mhz oc on my 650i :(

hang on are you guys seriously saying that you can run at 3ghz, below stock voltage???

i run 3ghz on stock volts, and sometimes it wants more! (stock is 1.2875 or something very close)

3.6 takes a monumental amount, or at least it did...i didnt realise i could play alot more with voltage on my P45 board.....

tonight ima try 3.0 @ 1.2v maybe less, and ima try higher clocks on stock volts.

and even without this knowledge... P45 + Q6600 FTW :rockout:

PS. hey Solaris! good to see you again mate, aint had a good chat since the days of 177.29 :P

q6600 g0 , no cpu like it

my Q6600 also has a vid of 1.3250 it sucks :banghead:

my vid @ 3.0ghz is 1.2500 but @ 3.2ghz it needs 1.3250

vdroop @ 1.2300 w/ vdroop mod on asus commando

awesome low vids u guys :rockout:

Hmmm, has anyone directly compared between P35 and P45? cause i've been sitting on mine for a while, and if i can get more OC out of it, i'll look into a new board.

Been running a Q6600 at 3.6GHz at a hair under 1.4v now for about a year. Bought two Q6600s in august '07 and kept the one that clocks better. Kinda shame to have wasted money on all those Core 2s I've bought since the launch; three Conroes and two Kentsfields. The first E6600 would've suited me fine... :\

Well, my next CPU will be an AMD.

E4300, E6600, Q6600 and then my 2nd Q6600. Both my Q's take 1.425v (which is a hair under 1.4v real, due to Vdroop)

You gotta admit, the Q6600's have really stood the test of time. If they OC even better on these newer chipsets... they could last us even longer.

3ghz @ 1.2v - 1.17 under vdroop

amazing, i never knew it would run ABOVE speed UNDER volted, thats just magical.
