hey, all
I had a question I was how you guys could help me answer I mostly use my computer for photoshop Maya and unreal engine 3 but I also play games like LOL, Ark, and whatever's on steam a the time. I need an upgrade on my storage side and was going to upgrade my GPU a little while I was at it. But I wanted to start taking advantage of SLI while I was at it. I have a 3071MB NVIDIA Quadro K4000 (NVIDIA)58 °C and want to get either an ( AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Gaming Graphics Card - OEM ) or an ( NVIDIA Quadro P4000 ) if I could get the money together. so I guess my question is

1. Can I use SLI with my rig and or current GPU with either the

2. Are there any other upgrades you guys recommended

Thanks, A Head OF Time

No ofc you cannot SLI them, dont be silly. First off, the P4000 and K4000 aren't from the same arch, and the RX 580 isnt even from Nvidia.
TBH what you have right now is perfectly fine, I would recommend the P4000 over the RX 580, its basically a cutdown 1070

First of all, none of those cards can match up for SLI. You need to have the exact same cards for SLI to work. Well, that's officially , unofficially apparently you can SLI different cards but I wouldn't advise it. In fact I do not advise SLI/Crossfire at all.

Secondly, the fastest card of the bunch would be the P4000. But my question is, why Quadro ? Is it not very expensive ? Do you actually need that card in particular ? I reckon you can get something better for your money.

Forget about SLI / Crossfire. Dead end.

Get a strong single GPU and everything else Vya Domus said :)

Sli has all been but forgotten like crossfire. Quadro cards are separate fron gforce due to type of work performed and what drivers work.

Quadro P4000 is good (twice the processing power of your current K4000), but expensive. The only reason why you would get that is because of some professional software that you need to run on that PC and also because it's single slot.
Otherwise, with that kind of money you can get an AMD RX Vega64 and that would be better in terms of performance (double the Single Precision GFLOPS and four times the Double Precision compared to P4000).
So I would sell the Quadro K4000 (you can get $70-100 on eBay) if you don't need those professional drivers and use the money towards a stronger single GPU card.
