AI slop figures heavily among the detrimental practices attempting to rake in $$$ from what would've in any other age been fun games. Pre-release is a worthless place to determine actual defining value.
Case in point. Excellent Japanese origin PS game series (Everybody's Golf) with a few Westernizations (Hot Shots Golf) that managed to preseve a below the surface satisfaction no reskin could hide. A few decades later a PC Bamco/Atari/... moneygrab arrives selling PACMAN and uncertain amount of DLC/MT/???
@TheLostSwede this is an excellent example of the perhaps hard to define barrier a few attempts have been made to explain to you politely. Definitely weird, certainly has touched on inserting characters from that other type of game, almost certain to attract a predominantly male audience, yet lies on the other side from interests triggering editorial duty. On PS2 onwards this was an absolutely amazing online multiplayer experience for literally anybody once you mastered single player mechanics.
