Quick question (dvi-vga)

Is there a big difference between DVI-VGA 24+5 vs 24+1?
If i would to buy the 24+5, i can still use it on my video card that has a DVI port to connect to VGA monitor, correct?

dvi-i & dvi-d, i guess, dvi dual have better max limitation resolution anyway
