This might sound like griping and it really isn't. It's more curiosity than anything.

I have a new Asus G752VS OC edition laptop, i7, 32GB RAM, GTX 1070. I replaced the stock SSD with 2x Samsung 960 Pro 512s in Raid 0, and did a clean install of Win10 to get rid of the bloatware. All drivers are updated etc.

I play BF1 on it mostly, and I've noticed that my load times are slower than a lot of people I play with, both when loading into a game, and also the end of round results and Battlepack handouts etc. I constantly hear people saying they got a battlepack before my screen is even loaded at the end of a round. Most of them have systems with far lower specs than mine.

The game plays fine and the laptop is blazingly fast otherwise, so what could cause that? Like I said, not griping, just curious.

Thanks in advance.

internet speed and latency would be my first suspects

Internet is 150/100 and latency to the servers is typically around 20ms

That is weird. Maybe you can post your AS SSD numbers so I can see if your windows settings are configured properly for your SSDs.

Sure, I'll do that tonight.

Raid can slow them down, id go back to a 850 pro and call it.

Benchmark attached.

more data to load? game settings?
maybe reducing the settings (expecially storage heavy ones like textures) would reduce the load times?

edit:
4k results on your as ssd screenshot seem awfully low as well. someone above pointed out that raid might actually hinder performance in your case.

It is the only game where this is happen?

It's a new laptop, so really it's the only game I've played besides Titanfall 2, but I play single player there. If it happens anywhere else, I don't know about it.

Try another game...
