For some reason when I go to the repair part of Vista install dvd it does not see my raid0 hds until I load up the gigabyte Vista raid drivers off my usb device.. I add the drivers and than it recognizes my HD/OS (Vista)..

I click to repair my OS Microsoft Windows Vista 610429mb (E:) Local Disk

and this comes up..

Microsoft Windows

Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically.

Problem signature:
Problem event name: StartupRepairV2
Problem Signature 01: ExtrenalMedia (my usb drive ipod)

Problem signature 05 & 06: FailureDuringSetup

How would I format my HDs I guess to try installing again :S :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :shadedshu :shadedshu

been backing up data and crap all weekend hoping to install my new OS.. I would like to have a game of COH before I have to start my week of work again.

well I cleaned both drives tried it as raid again.. and no luck.. put one drive on a regular sata port and vista is now installing completely... looks like just one HD for a while. I used all the right Vista riad drivers from Gigabyte, enabled Raid in dos elc... as far as I know I did everything right and it would not read my raided HDs right.

If anyone had this prob or knows what I can do to fix it plz help Im using f6 bios and have a ds3 rev.1 board. I sent Gigabyte a message asking for help.

May be you have external RAID controller which isn`t supported by Vista?

ooer mixa I didnt think about that. But the problem is, I think he had raid-0 setup before when he first had Vista installed. Just out of curiosity, why did you reformat?
