Hello!
My ram is only at ddr 166, although it worked before with ddr 200 without problems.
whenever switching it to 400mhz in bios, the system doesnt boot anymore.
Corious is the fact that in cpu-z under ram the freq is 164mhz
and the cpu htlink (it should be 200) is at 205mhz although i hadnt overclocked.
Any help how to correct it?

Your system specification shows you have Socket 754 system which has only one single memory channel (where S939 has two memory channels). The memory controller in your CPU slows down the memory speed when the memory bank density on the channel goes above the certain limit. And as far as I know, there's no fix available for this.

Motherboard manufacturers usually "overclocks" the FSB/HTT slightly, that's why the CPU HTlink is 205 instead of 200.

When i use singlesided ram, could it work then?

It may work with single-sided modules but it's very hard to find 512Mb single-sided modules nowadays.

I get the same problem m8 with my 4x sticks of 512MB Dual Channel DDR400 :o

Ok thanks for the answers. i fixed it with flashing a newer bios version of my mobo.
