I have random crashes with Vista whenever I'm gaming. All my games really. I've done some searching and I see it is a wide spread problem. Usually it crashes back to the desktop and says "____________ has stopped working". I can't really find an answer and was hoping I could get some help here. I've read Direct X, CCC, onboard sound, and everything else. It doesn't take a powerful game to make it happen. It will crash with Fallout 3, Crysis, Madden 08, SupCom and it doesn't with games like WarCraft 3 and UT3.

Have you done any overclocking?

My first thought too.
Any system changes, hardware changes?
Installed any updates recently?
Driver and windows updates.
Probably just a conflict somewhere.

Processor, 4850, and slightly on RAM. I read a guy saying he unclocked his card and it stopped. I wanted to be sure that was a solution.

well, I unclocked the card and Madden stopped crashing. My brother is playing FO3 now and it hasn't crashed yet. I guess I gotta roll with a stock card.

It happens me with HL2's Source based games, for some reason when I close the game (not during the game) I get this error. I have no idea why it happens but I don't really care xD it doesn't affect the gameplay.

Now, I used to get errors like this when I had my 7500le badly OC'ed. You have to move the sliders with a ratio, there are some guides over here, but I bet you know it- anyhow, give it a look, Crysis used to crash because the memory was 7MHz faster than it should (lol, keep it mind it was considerable OC xD).
