Razer Lachesis Scroll Wheel Problem

Hey guys, sorry to make a new thread regarding this issue (it was already discussed on this forum a year or so ago and that thread is dead http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=78240), but this is the first thing that comes up on Google. I have the EXACT same problem with my Lachesis: slow scrolling doesn't register the mousewheel; however, fast scrolling does. It's past warranty by a month, so taking it apart would be the only option. Now... give me a car and I'll take it apart and put it back together, give me a mouse and I'll panic. I'm not good with delicate and small pieces that are closely wired together. If anyone has any experience with this or taking mice apart in general, I'd appreciate a more indepth step-by-step of taking it apart and exactly how to apply the plastic cement to the mouse wheel piece.

Thanks in advance.

PS. Rather disappointing how my 5 year old MX300 runs perfectly and how my Lachesis is already glitching out after a year.

I see you referred to my thread.
I solved the issue... kinda...

My hands are ultra-sweaty. While gaming I tend to be distracted for hours and sweat accumulates during tension (hello gaming? :)) and if I'm not careful my mouse starts slipping the gear-wheels of the scroll button. (Tbh I'm surprised it never shorted out and started sparking:laugh: )
But seriously , as long as I keep my hands dry as are those of the average person my mouse performs fine. Actually hands can be wet but the digit with which I finger the wheel has to be dry or it starts playing up. :(

On the other hand, I've got a Toshiba mouse which I use on the laptop which functions fine whether my hands are sweaty or not.
