Hi,

Since I changed my old Rx580 to a RX6650XT, I started getting issues with YT videos, in special when playing something
Sometimes even only YT, video freezes. all issues I saw where on VP09 codec
Network activity is ok, buffer healthy is always ok.
It only started after I changed the graphics card

R9 5900x
GSkill 2x16 DDR4 3600C16
Asus X570 Strix-E
Sapphire RX6650XT Pulse 8GB
NVME Gigabyte 2TB PCIe4
Enermax PSU 900W
Driver 22.10.1

Thanks, but still having issues
video gets slower and desynched, than runs a lot faster to synch again.
sometimes freezes

Which browser? Try disabling hardware acceleration in browser settings

Task manager shows very high Codec usage, even being only 1080p

Chrome is up to date
Version 107.0.5304.88 (Official Build) (64-bit)

With Hw acceleration disabled seems to be much better.
But this is a workaround. It should be working hw codec on such simple codec

It's a bug with Chrome and AMD drivers that only some users experience. Haven't had any issues myself

try firefox, its basically same as chrome but auto updates can be disabled (nice perk).
