Is there a way to recover such data!? On my old laptop I had WinXP but i wanted Win7 on it. Doing so I was forced to delete all my partitions and I couldn't back anything up.
Could I recover some of the data from the old partitions? Any software suitable for the job?

so far i've used iCare Data Recovery and didn't get anything....

anywhere you've written over files will be lost. try the programs mentioned above, and learn from this - back up data first, or seperate into different partitions. you only need to format C: to reinstall windows.

From xp to win7 you need to delete all because it needs to create that 100Mb partition..and i totally forgot about this.

I use recuva my self however if you did a full format ( takes a long time ) the files will be pretty much lost. So if you did not do a full format try what Newtekie sugjested.

Good Luck.

Well it was full format and partition delete... and yes. i've tried it and seems it can't find the files.
