I see my topic got buried again... We are resurrecting this old classic, with the help of Mad Otter Games. The most classic and realistic WW1 flying sim ever made. Many years have added complex graphics, terrains, and planes. For those of you who would like a taste of nostalgia, and brazen WW1 style dogfighting, please visit http://redbaron3dofficialsite.com
This is much of my work as well, so I'd like to share it. This is our owner: www.madottergames.com/ The final product can be purchased there. We want public input to shape this game. It will be the last time a true WW1 flying sim will be released. ROF was a huge disappointment, let's make this last until someone surpasses the multiplayer capabilities of RB3D.

I'd like to offer some constructive criticism: Your post and your website is very unclear.

1/ Is it a new game? i.e. new code, reprogram? OR do you have to buy the old old original and use add-ons that you have developed, ie it is a mod with some new features and new textures but still requires you to run windows 98?

2/ Your website is full of "the mission of this website is" type NONSENSE. If you want new people to get with it, say wtf Red Baron is, and show screenies. What the cobblestones is this: "After certain events and communications over the weekend, a plan was devised and communicated to the Redux team to accelerate focus". I suggest you take a look at this website: http://www.plainenglish.co.uk/

3/ What is SWWISA, FM, PL2, FCJ console, etc. etc. your website is full of it

4/ Why do you spend 90% of your website naming names, CEOs, team leaders, etc. What is this? Indulgence in self glorification. We, I speak for everyone who is not part of your project, dont give a flying hoot about these "names" but MIGHT be interested in the project/game if you say and show a bit more about it, but you are putting us off.

KISS

Red Baron was awesome, but lemonade up here is totally right. At least make the front a bit more understandable.

didnt work for me "mss32.dll" was not found:confused:

That's odd about mss32.dll, try downloading it from a dll site. I'll check into that error. As for redux, we are affiliated with Mad Otter Games, who now own RB3D. We are fixing the original afm version of the game, which had many bugs. PL2 is promised land 2 graphics. That combined with emulated glide, using a special glide dll I spent years tweaking, give the game a much more modern look, with much better graphics. We plan to eventually develop our own graphics patch as well. For now, this is an add-on for RB3D, and we are still deep in beta development, as the plane's fms ect are slowly modified and fixed. We will also be adding new planes, such as 2 seat bombers. The afm flight model is very realistic compared to it's arcadish brother, nfm. Eventually, when it is finished, it will become a packaged, retail product with RB3D included. FCJ control panel is a special add on that increased max resolution from 1024x768 to 1600x1200. I will post some screenies soon. Sorry I wasn't very clear, I'm just the serverop, and security consultant for the team. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask! Oh, and I run this game under XP64 and Win7 64 with no issues at all.

Disclaimer: our site is very community based largely as a portal....at this time...for beta testing..

Also, I think you guys are being a bit harsh. Right now we are working on this thing every day, 7 days a week to improve it. You are not seeing the final product. We just want people to fly it and offer advice. Yes, the site is mostly inhabited by members of the RB3D community, so it may look foreign to an outsider. I apologize for that. If you joined in on the site, and started communicating with all those who are trying to make this happen, you might not think so badly of us! We are offering an open format, to provide a finished product that all will enjoy. Right now, we are doing this out of pocket, and putting in our own time. Please don't discount something just because it's not immediately perceived as polished and professional with a lot of money. This game will be sold for dirt cheap when it's released. The site ect. will be improved with time. I have brought your suggestions to the attention of the team. Thankyou for your input.

CamelJock - Team Redux

we appreciate the work, we just would prefer it was put forth in a way easier to understand for say some1 like myself who never played the original..

I understand that, and am trying to put that forth to the team. As I've shown above, it's mainly concentrated on our already established base of players. It's very beta for now. But still, if you have an RB3D disc, it's easy to install, and play. We will try to establish an easier to understand concept of what this game is to become. Please have patience. It will improve!

And please ask any questions you may have. Take a look at the work, and ask away! That's what I'm here for. I need to find out what people not familiar with the game, need to know. I've known this game for over 5 years, so I don't know what it's like to not understand, or know what this game is. Please ask whatever you need, and I will answer as best I can.

And ShiBDiB, please see the disclaimer for our present work. If you want to understand it, please come to the website, and ask questions. Don't just dismiss it. If you see something you don't like, you are more than welcome to come and help us change it. That goes for anyone else as well.

Mussels, et tu? Wow.

We have achieved the next level in fixing the fms of the planes. Still open beta testing for anyone with RB3D cd. When this is finished, we will have a final cd with all fixes and patches added.
