I was just wondering about registering cards for warranties, how long do you have after the initial purchase to register it if there is a time limit? Or can the card be registered anytime after the purchase? If the card is not registered, are you not entitled to claim for a warranty when needed?

The brand I'm asking about is EVGA, if it matters.

In most US states you don't have to send in a card to use the manufactures' warranties; only for special offer on extending warranty and such(special offers, like from normal 1 year to lifetime, etc.)

EVGA warranty:http://www.evga.com/support/warranty/

Proof of purchase would probably be required, if not registered.

yea If you have a problem, and need an RMA or something, you usually just have to provide a receipt with date of purchase and the serial number of the card. If you are in the warranty period, they should fix/replace your card
