Removing OneDrive from a fresh install of Windows 10

I have been trying to upgrade my main gaming rig for the last two months! Going from 1TB SSHD to a 2TB SSHD has been a nightmare. I finally decided to fresh install Windows 10 and I run into OneDrive scrambling up my desktop and icons. How can OneDrive be totally removed or totally disabled from this PC?

Thanks, I've been working with the Microsoft Guide all morning and had to take a break. I'll continue after my Lunch Break.

you really just need to uninstall onedrive under applications.

Hi,
It's on these scripts too
11
10

But I agree office will auto install it again.

Gee Whizz, That was really simple! Control panel, Uninstall a Program, and Poof! Thank You All!!!:banghead:

Hi,
Not really that simple
Onedrive is still likely on the file explorer navigation pane and of course office will reinstall the rest

@ThrashZone, I don't use office. The file explorer navigation pane appears to be free of OneDrive also. This is just a gaming rig or it was until Windows 7 was disabled and I was forced onto Windows 10 upgrade.

i installed windows 10 and 11 so often now (mostly corrupted due to memory overclocking attempts and tons of hardware changes)
uninstalling onedrive is one of the first things i do and it never gets installed again and never shows up anywhere else.

they made it very simple to get rid of it. just like with teams.

Wouldn't the program just reinstall after a big update lol

@GerKNG, I did a lot of All in One PC tinkering in the last few years. Luckily most of them are Windows 8 machines. Another problem seems to be listing them as devices on a Microsoft account. Then you can have problems when Microsoft syncs the machines to your log in email. I'm going back to giving my machines a name and logging in that way.

it does!

there is a little tool I use. to show what is inside and for transparency reasons it is a TXT file.

change the .txt to .bat and execute as admin. restart.
attached below.
