I just got an Antec 120mm TriCool Blue LED fan. Would I get better performance (and looks of course) if I change the Big Typhoon fan with it? The Big Typhoon fan is only 54 CFM and the Antec is 79 CFM. Can I get a few more degrees out of it?

Thanks

Yes, youll see a temp drop.

Hey...I did. I got a five degree drop.

I'm changing out my BT fan for a Silverstone 100cfm fan. I'll post how much I drop tomorrow.

Okay. Mine is about 5-7 degrees drop on idle and 7-8 drop on load. You should get better because of the 100CFM. Where are you getting the fan from anyways?

Tigerdirect. Only and now I say only because the carry the chipset fan vc-re also with that fan so I can ship both at the same time. Newegg spoiled me rotten. Gonna install the chipset cooler tomorrow also and then try for that damn 3ghz!!

Well got done installing the Silverstone 110cfm(don't think it pushes that much) Big Typhoon replacement fan. I'm priming right now and it doesn't go pass 38c and 30c idle. About 3-5c less. Worth it for the full load temps. Also installed a vc-re for my chipset nb and it worth it also lost about 5-7c.

That's pretty good, kind of the same for me. I'm getting a new comp soon (there's a thread, "which system setup is better") and how high do you think an Athlon 64 3000+ can get? It's my temporary processor until I get a 3800+ or 4000+.

Don't know but I heard some 3000 are monsters of overclockers. My previous venice 3200+ only could do 2.65ghz no matter what I did. I think the 3000 should oc to at least that.
