I have a Biostar A880GZ and I love the board. It's a great little workhorse for my 960T chip, however, Biostar intentionally left out the option to overclock the FSB or base clock.

This is a major problem as for fine tuning I would love to have that available. Can anyone tell me if there is aftermarket support for this board, and if so, has anyone made a custom bios that allows for FSB overclocking?

Thanks,

They left that out because they know those VRMs will melt. Just look at it...

I think it was left out more to create a market niche for their T-Series line.

Regardless, I have used Biostar for many 4.0Ghz overclocks in the past and I've never had a problem with VRMs "melting".

In fact, my 970 Zosma unlocked to an X6 and ran at 4.0Ghz as a hexacore for nearly 7 years without issue. This CPU was pushing about 160W TDP and I never had any trouble, that's why I like Biostar. They have a pretty durable power delivery system. While this was on a TA880GU3, it has a nearly identical power delivery system. I think people sometimes let the "fear" get to them before they fully understand the "facts".
