Well i noticed that there is a better deal for a gpu than the PNY 9800GTX+, and I just mailed my rebate yesterday, would it be possible to stop the rebate, and then like return the thing to newegg for either a refund or credit? the 9800gtx+ i got also seems a bit iffy (got some wavering).

i would call them and check

if they do take it back they will refund the amount after the MIR

I would think, that if you cut the "UPC" code out for the rebate...that it would be non-returnable.

Login to NewEgg and get on the Live Chat.

I just had a pretty big problem with some items I bought and they will have no problem helping you out if you just ask them nicely.

When you cut that UPC it's done and yours to keep... 99% sure that egg will reject you..

Newegg is very precise on their policies. They do a great job at honoring them. If stay within the realms of their policies their service is top notch. Don't expect to bend their policies.

its yours now since you cut off the upc

so if theres somthings wrong with it RMA it to PNY and if Newegg where to take it back your going to get a 15% restocking fee charge

Suck it up. 99% of the time you are always going to find a better deal after you bought somthing.

By the time you get done returning it, restocking fee, etc., the "better deal" won't be so great anymore with all of the time/money you've lost.

I`m no too much familiar with newegg polices. But if newegg was doing There is better choice atm refund it would bankrupt.

The 9800 GTX+ is a good card and is a huge upgrade from your old 8600 GT - performance wise you should be happy. How much did you pay for the 9800 GTX+ and what is the better deal that you found? Your post is very vague indeed.

Also if there's "wavering" with the card then try a different DVI cable, or something tells me you're using VGA(lol) just because that's how an analog signal acts when there's some force distorting it.
