RTX 3060Ti glitch - using 93% GPU on desktop with max clocks

My graphics card just had a glitch.
Suddenly I got switched to Windows 7 Basic, with 93% GPU usage(as shown in System Monitor on the right), with NOTHING running but the desktop, and Chrome.
GPU clocks also running at 1935 MHz - max boost clock, with 199.2W board power draw.
(Unfortunately no screenshot of GPU-Z; I couldn't take it in time).

The problem corrected itself after around 10 seconds.

I'll also post a screenshot of GPU-Z when it happens again and I get a chance.
 
Sounds to me like it could have been the generic Windows benchmark running in the background. Probably nothing to worry about.
 
Really? Weird, this has never happened before in the 5 years I've been using the 970.
 
Probably has but you never noticed it. Win7 has that benchmark and it does run it but usually when the PC is idle but only once - until hardware changes.
