Sup fellas alright check it out, I got this pretty good deal at bestbuy with coupons and got myself 2 bfg NVIDIA GeForce 7900 512mb gtx oc video cards. Now my question is..... well am I gonna get a huge difference in game play with using just one or am I going to get killer graphics by using them both by sli? cuz if the difference is minimal then i just might return one of the cards I ordered.

It depends on the resolution you will be using. What monitor do you have? I had EVGA 7900 GTX SC cards in SLI, and it worked very nicely.

Hi.

You might not see a great deal of difference with the two cards ,with the max res on that monitor being 1280X1024, but you will be able to max all settings out.

Well, since you will be at 1280x1024 for resolution, one 7900GTX will handle the load nicely. And, as indicated, two will let you turn up settings in games. But, I think one card will get you 60+ FPS in a majority of the games. Personally, I would go with a single card and use the money elsewhere (CPU, more memory, or anything else).

thanks for the info fellas, my main concern game wise is oblivion cuz man does that game kill my 6800 gt oc. see bestbuy messed up on a price match and I ended up getting the bfg nvidia gtx oc 512 7900 for $110 cheaper then there sale price. narg I could either keep them both for sli. and get a new motherboard along with new battery or cancel one of them. I hate hard choices

Unless your gonna run 16/12 resolutions or higher its really not worth it.. 1 7900gtx will run just about any game max at 1280/1028..

sounds like I might end up selling it on ebay prob around 450 any takers? lol serious tho.....
