Hi All,

I have bought a second hand RX 580 but having trouble installing drivers for it. Windows keep saying Code 43 as error.
AMD Software says that the hardware is not supported.
Its a Saphire Pulse Radeon RX580 GDDR5 DUAL HDMI/DVI/DUAL DP OC W/BP(UEFI)

Could be a modded bios or a wrong bios since RX580 are often sold after mining usage.

You can try to flash the following bios but you need to verify if Samsung K4G80325FB is on the PCB:

I tried to flash the bios but getting this output:

GPU-Z showing this after reboot(Switch side 1):

AMD Software still saying:

You need to use an older version. AMDVBFlash v2.93 is the best version for flashing Polaris cards.

Flash one of the following bioses when the bios switch is position 1:

Bios switch position 2 should be a mining bios, that would explain the unusual speeds you showed in GPU-Z.

Sorry for my late response thanks for the bios, it is working now, no more crashes or anything,

My Asus RX580 DualOC (not a mining resale) has a driver problem after Windows update on Win10 x64. I am getting Error 182 and gpu-z reads card as a microsoft basic adapter. Halp?

Please create a new thread for your problem since it is not related to this thread.

You won't need a new BIOS for this, just make sure you download the legacy version of the current driver release. AMD has two going on right now that they're calling the same version number, but one is for RDNA generation (23.40 branch) and the other is for the old Polaris and Vega cards (still based on 23.19 branch from last year). This should work:
