Hello,

I have a problem with my gpu AMD RX 580. I can't figure it out what's the problem.
The gpu randomly crashes and I don't know why. It crashes when i'm browsing or completely random when i'm not using it. When i'm gaming everything is all right, when i'm rendering everything is all right. It crashes only when i'm not doing something that uses it :))) I'm very upset, I tried many versions of adrenalin software and nothing.
I can stream, I can do many things without a problem, but when I am just browsing it happens. Anyway, i'm glad that I don't lose any of my work.

There was a problem a few days ago from my CPU that goes to almost 90 temperature in rendering and crashes because of temperature but I changed the thermal paste and now everything is ok. Now the GPU goes from nowhere to 90-100% then completely freeze my pc and I need to restart from button.
Sometimes I wait for it to unfreeze and a window from adrenalin software appears which says that the amd radeon has crashed and if I want to report this to AMD. Then everything is all right. But today it goes with a very long lag, then completely freeze.
I attach the GPU-Z screenshot.

I have that option with driver selection by Windows disabled and my configuration is:
Intel core i9-11900KF
32GB RAM DDR4 2666mhz
motherboard ASUS PRIME B460M-A R2.0

tried many versions of adrenalin software and nothing.
Did you DDU the old drivers?

Otherwise, try a new Windows installation.

If that doesn't work, try limiting clocks in Afterburner.

Try setting a custom fan curve in Wattman or Afterburner. I've seen issues with the default fan curve being "forgotten" and random shutdowns with it.

Welll, actually after this post the system crashed when I opened browser or whatsapp.
So I decided to change the gpu thermal paste and I think this was the problem. I will left a photo with how thermal paste was applied. I never changed the paste before, this is the 1st time after I bought the gpu.
I will attach a photo so you can see how much paste amd put.

It was a very nice hour to clean this mess. I hope now it will be good.
The system stays now in 33 cpu and 39 gpu. Instead of 50-60 gpu and 50-60 cpu.

I will come back if this wasn't the problem.

Usually it is recommended after a few years of usage to change the thermal pads + paste.
Now you was forced to do that.
Keep us informed how is going.
