Msi gaming x rx480 8GB

Used it for mining, flashed orig bios, restart, installed fresh drivers.
start gpu stress furmark, instantly black screen, didnt see any stress.
Restart pc no boot up.
Put this card to second slot and first working gpu, windows cant see second card.

I have two of them, made exactly same process with other card, flash and furmark test, no problems.
any sugestions?

Maybe that one card went through (one too much) stress session and died on you ?

There's not much you can do aprt from testing it on another computer to see if it still work.

Replace thermal compound, dust em clean. Now you know why mining is no good.

Pull the non working card apart first and get a ram chip picture.

And stop using furmark/kombustor

And no card is exactly the same, you would need a microscope to see that.

No Furmark any more ;) I use only 3DMark for stability/max temp testing.

There is a reason why both nvidia and amd have called it a "power virus"...

Don't use that program...it isn't an accurate test of anything due to all of the throttling the cards are doing running it...nvidia cards especially.

Didn't Nvidia put a power limiter in its drivers for Furmark after the 400 Fermi series?

Oh yes. A long time ago...but this program still hangs on for some reason. But yeah, you run the stress test on nvidia gpu, the voltage drops and the clocks are typically a couple hundred mhz lower than gaming.... nkt a good test!
