Hey the LEDS on my saitek eclipse keyboard just went out. at first i noticed they were very dimmed on the highest brightness setting to i opened it up to see the problem and they all except for one shut off. the LEDS are wired in parallel so if one gives out all the other its connected 2 will give out. so i started to examine the wiring and stuff and i couldnt figure out wat the prob was, but then the red positive wiring that was connected to one of the boards ripped off. so now im wandering if i RMA the keyboard to Saitek, will they replace it or fix it, even after one of the wires ripped.

its gonna be a risk...if that is the cause of the problem, they gonna charge you for there diagnostic b.s. (aka "wasting their time).

The ripped cable had nothing to do with th LEDS not working.

now some keys on my saitek keyboard wont work like the Delete, insert, home, pageup, pagedown, "-", "=", screenlock, print screen, pause/break,+, and the numpad. WTF IS GOING ON

I can't tell from the picture. How hard would it be to solder the wire back on?

I doubt they will.....

For one, most places will not RMA or return something after you have opened up the product itself.I am sure they have a way to tell if they keyboard itself was opened

Two, not only did you open up the casing... you messed something up in there.

They are going to blame you, even though you didnt do anything to cause the problem.

Judging by the pictures... your warranty is void.

i may be able to solder it back on, but i suck at it. its is definitely solderable
