Hey Guys whats up... Ricardo from Brazil here.

I have a reference 6900 XT LC card and i need the bios .rom file. I tried flashing it (i know, i know...) and it bricked. I had to use a eeprom CH341 writer to make it come back to life, but i must have used a wrong firmware fire because 2d mode is working fine, but if i try entering any game or any 3d rendering (like furmark), the computer shuts down instantly.

Before messing with amdvbflash, it worked perfectly.

Do you guys have the file? I did not find it here at techpowerup.

Info from the sticker below the card:

Thats the bios that bricked my gpu. Theres a warning in the Page, that i unfortunately saw after flashing:
Warning: You are viewing an unverified BIOS file.
This upload has not been verified by us in any way (like we do for the entries listed under the 'AMD', 'ATI' and 'NVIDIA' sections).
Please exercise caution when flashing it to your graphics card, and always have a backup.

I recovered it with the CH341 writer And am looking for other solutions, i used the air cooled reference bios And it now boots, but freezes when entering 3d rendering And shuts down.

Are you sure? BIOS Looks legit to me? That warning doesnt say much. It only states it isnt verified by a staff member of techpowerup.

DONT USE THAT CH341 PROGRAMMER ANYMORE. IT WILL KILL YOUR CARD DUE OVER VOLTAGE!

Maybe you can apply this at own risk. It describes how to override the protection of the latest amdvbflash:

Besides the bios which "bricked your card, we only have two other D4120600 bioses in the bios collection:
https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/258453/258453 (This bios is uploaded once, bigger chances it is modified!)
https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/248697/248697 (This bios seems to be an early beta bios and is also only uploaded once)

Well, i can't say for sure that it was the bios that bricked it or something going wrong in the process of flashing it, but it sure was the same 236400 file.

Is there a way to verify how many times a file was uploaded? Cool! I did not know that.

About the CH341 Programmer: Maybe that is why i am having trouble while trying to run games now? The card boots to windows in 2d mode just fine, but when i try to run any game, the static logos are OK, but when it tries to render 3d, the pc shuts down. If i try something like furmark, when i start the test, the same happens (shuts down).

I am not a native english speaker, sorry for my bad english.

No if you burned out the chip you would have a brick. Find the proper bios.

Awesome, that is a lot better than killing the chip... i will try to find the file.

They are right; it doesn’t mean you can just keep going. There is a hardware programming guide at the top of the forum that will walk you through how to properly do it and the right ch341 to use. It also links a mod for the ch341 to correct the voltage if you insist on still using the original model.

Take care of the programmer before flashing w/e vbios you get for your card.

Thanks for the heads up, since the card now boots to windows i've reassembled it and intend to use amdvbflash, not the CH341 anymore, hopefully

All those bioses share the same Hash. If the rom is corrupt, then some uploaded multiple times the corrupt rom with a different card name.

It didnt work. I will send the GPU to a local tecnician. Thanks for all the help guys!

I have uploaded my LF Ref BIOS file several times to TPU and I thin it's hidden somewhere as an unverified one - even with the correct image. Maybe I'll find it.

@rdamico are you the goy with whom I had almost the same conversation few weeks ago at OCN?
Not it was at Luxx, here's a real 6900 XT Ref LC bios file:

Hash is exactly the same as the one which is uploaded on techpowerup.
