Would a SATA II 300 Hard drive run on an Ageing Sata 150 Motherboard?

yes it will, you will need to install the jumper on the drive to limit it to sata 150 mode though.

If its newer WD SATA drives it auto detects. You don't need to put any jumpers. Cool.

cheers dude. haven't decided on what size, but fancying a samsung spinpoint, i hear they're the fastest of the bunch. ill be carrying it over to my next pc when i get a more modern one.
