just wanted to share my work in progress so far (actually i'm just testing my carving skills with this case)..
CASE: Wood (Paulownia) – ITX size
CPU: i3 540@Lapped@OC 4.2
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte H55N-USB3
COOLER: Prolimatech Samuel 17@Lapped + Noctua NF-P12
GPU: Gigabyte 1060 3gb ITX
SSD: OCZ Vertex2 60GB
PSU: Seasonic SSR-360GP
CASE FAN: not decided yet

Some airbrush finish I think would take it to another level too.
Also I would make casts and produce more than one. Sure there will be people that would want to buy it.

Actually from up close it looks like black leather.
Hopefully. i will finish it within a week.

But honestly, a consider myself to be 1/10 in wood carving.

Impressive way to hide the corner joints, it gives the impression that the inside was carved out of a one piece unit.

Update:
Testing in progress…
Case size: Height 46cm, Width 29cm, Depth 26,5cm
Final count of wood pieces that were cut: 50
Weight: 1,8 kg
All frames with mesh (4 pieces) are detachable, as are top cover and back cover (psu).

Neodimium magnets hold everything in place.
48 pieces to be exact (5mm x 3mm = 36 pieces, 10mm x 2mm = 12 pieces).
Still to do:
Top cover frame with mesh and 120mm fan mount.
Back side additonal work (more on that later on).

Nice build, the carvings all over the case makes it looks like a tiki statue, but the black color makes it kinda ugly as natural brown that show the wood grain would make it classy and much better IMO
