Hey all,

I want to test out eyefinity, but how should I connect the monitors? I'm pretty sure i need to connect all theree monitors to the top 5850 using the 2 DVI's and the Displayport. I have a displayport cable so that's not a problem. So, am I correct in saying only use the top card not both cards? Also, just for testing can i use two 22" monitors, and one 20"? or do i need to use all 3 at the same size? Also, can I connect them while the rig is on or do i need to power down connect then power on? Although I'm sure Windon't 7 will tell me to restart to apply updates!!:roll: Thanks all! :toast:

You can connect all 3 monitors just onto one card. And no, doesn't all have to be the same size. People mix match all the time.

And I would 1st power down your system when connecting everything.

Hope you enjoy your set up, I know I <3 my eyefinity.

Thanks Volkszorn88! I'll only have it setup for the weekend just to play around with it. I'm hoping after the 1st of the year I'll have it setup for good. hehehe :toast:

No problem mate. When you 1st hook up all 3 monitors and log in into windows. You'll just see an exact copy 3x times. When you're log'd on, you need to go into CCC and set up a display group. From there you should be good to go.
