Hi all

I have a lexmark printer that works fine when plugged in using USB, and I also have a wireless router that supports a onboard print server.

I cant seem to get the printer to work from the router? I have installed the correct drivers, but it just wont resolve.

Any suggestions?

Lexmarks are an absolute pain in the ass, they write their drivers in a way to almost prevent what you are trying to do. If the driver doesn't detect that the printer is physically connected to a USB port on the actual computer, it freaks out and doesn't work.

Well like I said, its ok if its connected to the PC. But we have a wireless LAN here, and the other user would like to print, even if my machine is not powered on.

Not up on Lexmarks. However,...
Check your firewall settings, that was blocking my HP and I had to give access to the printer and such.

But here are some good guides:

Goodluck, as it can be a pain to find the solution and it is usually a simple little setting.:)
