In my office we have a PC that has all our office files on them. I planned on moving these from that server PC to the PC I use in my office via Remote Connection tonight from home. Then when I get into the office before everyone else early tomorrow I'd set it up so my PC at work acts as the server, so I can reinstall the actual server that is having some issues.

Anyway, just as a test run I shared my C: drive on my Windows 7 PC, and I cannot access the files in it from any of the XP PC's in the office. Is there something special I have to do? I went to Network & Sharing and thought I had everything setup correctly but apparently I don't. The error message I receive while on the XP PC is "NX01/C is not accessible. You might not have permission to access this network resource."

Any thoughts on what I need to do?

Im not 100% certain but in my experience its due to XP Encripting the files when a user sets up an account. Im not sure how to get around it but when that happend to me i just had the user take his password off so the folder/volume is no longer locked. Im not too sure how to go about it via remote connection Or if there are seperate users on that machine. but I hope its narrowed down the problem some what
