Should I buy better GPU?

Well, so. My computer is running a i7 2600 3.40Ghz, Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB (one fan version) and 8GB of DDR3 Kingston 1333 MHz ram.
My guestion is, if I should upgrade my GPU to a higher one, like GTX 1660, or 2060, if it would not bottleneck. I’m not sure anything, so I’m writing here. I’m using my PC for Gaming and study.

I want to say that in some "capable hands" that i7 sure has muscle to stretch , by this , I am on the premise it's the "K" version of the cpu.

Overall it's decent, well not up to the latest without gutting the eyecandy in the graphics settings menu.

What have you?

like GTX 1660, or 2060

Should be ok for 60 fps @ 1080p depending on the game and settings, if it's a i7 2600K you can overclock the CPU.
What is your monitor resolution, assuming 1080p? Also I'd recommend 16GB ram however better save up for a new system.

Your system is perfectly capable running latest hardware-demanding games at medium level of details and 1920x1080 resolution. If you have monitor with lower resolution than 1920x1080, upgrading to a better GPU wouldn't make much sense.

If you are going to upgrade anyway, look for used GTX 1070 in good condition. It has more power than GTX 1660 and costs way less than RTX 2060.

No point of buying 1660 or 2060, overpriced as well, just wait for 2-3 months to get 3060 ti at +/- normal price. Then later in future you can upgrade cpu with mobo and ram.

A gpu will improve frame rates. Yep. That said, assuming you're playing at 1080p, that is a very cpu bound resolution. So while fps will increase, a 2060 or 3060ti will be holding the gpys back for sure. Get a gpu now but look into a new cpu/mobo/ram combo asap to get the most out of it at that resolution.

Hi,
What's your budget 3060ti is 400.us direct from nvidia
1660 about 300.us
2060 that I saw were stupid priced frankly

GPU are major upgrades I wouldn't recommend used market unless it's still in warranty and is transferable to you.
How long do you think you'll be on current build ?
