Silicon Power UD70 1TB vs P34A80 1TB. Which one is better?

UD70 I believe is QLC and the A80 is TLC

They are both TLC drives, they both perform about the same and have same warranty length, 5 years.
I would get the UD70 only because the TLC memory that it uses is more advanced but they both perform about the same.

What about the "bait n switch' V2/V3 SX8200 Pro drive? Is this a better option?

I dont know anything about that so I cant comment on it.
Only thing I know is that sometimes SSDs get updates with more advanced controllers or nand chips.
Like the Samsung 970 and 970 plus, the plus has a more dense nand chips and about 300mb higher read or write speed, I dont member which one.
The ssd manufacturer might keep the name or add v1, v2 like you said, or in Samsung's case, add "plus".

Alright thanks. Seems like i'm gonna get the UD70. Btw the Samsung 970 Evo is ~150€ which is about 25€ more expensive. Does it worth the extra money?

wait, i just looked at the official silicon power website and they say that the UD70 is QLC. That's actually terrible

Weird, the review site that I saw it on said 96-layer TLC nand, but I looked at the 2tb version.

What are you going to use it for, games, editing, etc....

If both drives are about the same price, they both have equal performance but the UD70 is QLC and the P23a80 has TLC nand, I would go for the p23a80.
They both have 5 years warranty from the reviews that I read on both.
The issue with the p23a80 in the review was Lower endurance than other TLC SSDs but more than any QLC. But the UD70 used more advanced 96-layer QLC nand, the p23a80 uses 64-layer TLC nand. The 96-layer QLC nand will have higher edurance than the 64-layer QLC nand on most occasions.

The p23a80, I would go for if same price.
