SLI games that are limited to "Nvidia turing and later"

If you look at this list of games which support SLI, some of them have the note: "For NVIDIA Turing GPUs." or "NVIDIA Turing GPUs and later". None of them appear to be AAA titles either.

Is this just because the performance of GPU's older than Turing are insufficient? Or was it the new NVLINK interconnect debuted w/Turing GPU's?
 
Probably due to NVLink being needed (bandwidth). I'm just making a guess, though. I miss the multi-GPU days. :)

It was meant for DX12 but literally has no bearing on it at all for mGPU on DX12. Since all those games still support S.L.I with Forced A.F.R in DX11. It's basically a pointless notation to the S.L.I support list.
