I have an ATI 9800 pro video card. When i enter the advanced video settings menu's and select Smart Gart, my AGP settings are set to off. 4x and 8x are available to choose. I obviosly want to choose 8x, so i do. an info box pops up and tells me to restart the pc. No problem right, wrong.
After restart i go back to that screen and lo and behold my agp is set to off again. Now it says that it automatically chooses the most stable setting, but how can off be the most stable setting.
How is this affecting my video card performance? or does it?
P.S. I viewed my system specs using SANDRA and current agp settings show up as blank. oh and by the way 4x dosn't work either.
