A motherboard with Socket S1 for 638 pin Turions was spotted by members of the Inquirer staff:



The motherboard in the picture is a prototype notebook motherboard by ATI. The main advantages of socket S1 are dual-core support, as well as dual channel DDR2 memory support.

Nice... to bad I just bought a 754 turion notebook.
 
So does this mean that AMD is gettin in on the dual core notebook scene?

Indeed. :)
 
754 could theoretically have dual cores, but no point with two cores sharing single channel ram.
