[solved] DDR5 6000 RAM set to EXPO mode, no other changes, and AIDA64 gives me hardware failure each time.

I made no other changes in BIOS, this is a clean install of Win 11, and using latest Aida64 download version.

No errors and fully stable when EXPO turned off.

FML, ram drove me insane on my Intel build, and its doing it again, why for the love of God can I not just XMP/EXPO ram to just work, set it and forget it! BOTH kits were QVL for their respective mobo's... I'm losing my mind.

This is on my new Ryzen 7700x system, I went to a local Microcenter who was offering a 7700x and DDR5 6000 ram for free with purchase of 7700x. Free for a reason I guess.

List your full specs. What motherboard, memory model are you running and are you running the latest BIOS etc...

working on updating specs in a moment. I think I have it figured out now. I will report back in a few minutes.

mobo is gigabyte aorus elite ax b650m.

yes, latest BIOS. latest BIOS is always first thing I do.


edit: can confirm the ram is working at EXPO now, I had to manually enable the following for it to become stable "Low Latency Support" and "XMP/EXPO High Bandwidth Support" those two options are right under the EXPO turn on feature... so I said well lets throw a hail mary and see if that fixes me issue, and it did. AIDA64 is stable with EXPO on now.

I'm really starting to fucking hate computers, might just go to console gaming. ffs this is getting ridiculus. im glad its working for now though so, hopefully no issues moving forward.
