Hi,
i haven't found anyting via the search function, so here it goes: I have a XFX RX5700 DD Ultra RX-57XL8LBD6 with an Arctic Accelero Xtreme IV and flashed to the XFX RX5700XT THICC II Ultra Bios. Intel i7 8700, 16GB Trident Z 3200Mhz, Asus Prime P370-P, Samsung 970 Evo 250GB, Intel 660 2TB and LG 34UC79G-B 2560x1080 120 Hz connected via DP comprise the rest of the system. The card ran without a hitch until I got a blackscreen playing Hitman 2 yesterday necessitating a reboot. After the reboot the Resolution was set to max 1280x1024 with the option of still lower resolutions. I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest driver using DDU and AMD Driver Remover on different attempts but no dice. After uninstalling the driver the resolution was back to 2560x1080. Flashing back to the latest original BIOS and installing the AMD Driver version 19.12.3 didn't do anything either.
If anyone can offer an idea, I'd be grateful
Cheers!
Update:
Thank you all for your input! Unfortunately nothing worked up until now.
As a wise man once said: The definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I reflashed the original BIOS ... again and installed the newest Radeon drivers...again and hey presto, i can now choose 2560x1080. Flashed back to the XT BIOS and everything works even if I don't have the slightest idea why.
