Sound lag while starting GPU-Z

For some weird reason sound playback stutters for a few seconds when I launch the program. I have Auzentech X-fi Forte card, and I did not experience this with onboard Realtek sound. Anyone has an idea why is it happening?

If you ever notice your resource monitor when you start up GPU-Z, you will fine out that one or two threads will go to 100 percent usage for a little bit and then it will start to back down.

Well yes, but like I said, with onboard Realtek nothing slowed down at all.
Besides, I only get like 65% usage when GPU-Z starts.
